I am Angelica
As an abstract realism painter, I’m drawn to vibrant colors and the tension between what is imagined and what is real. My work is about storytelling through color, texture, and form.
I come from a family of artists. Some of my earliest memories are afternoons with my grandmother, watching her create large oil paintings, and my dad sketching pencil murals in my bedroom. Those moments shaped my love for art and gave me a sense that creativity is something to be lived, not just practiced.
I started drawing as a child and never really stopped. In Texas, I studied graphic design, where I learned a powerful combination of visual communication, balancing strategy, and aesthetics. It helped me to think purposefully and systematically.
I took painting classes that gave me a deeper understanding of technique. Over the years, I’ve worked on commissions ranging from murals to company logos, but painting has always been where my passion feels most alive.
I enjoy using my skills as a graphic designer to create interesting compositions
